What is a MOPS group, anyway?
MOPS International is a world-wide organization dedicated to encouraging and empowering mothers of young children, from infancy through kindergarten. Our chapter at the Mentor United Methodist Church also has a MOMSnext Group associated with MOPS. MOMSnext is for mothers with children who have graduated from kindergarten.
Our Mentor United Methodist MOPS group has about 20-25 moms who meet monthly every second Friday, from September through May. Meetings always include a breakfast buffet, brought by other members of the group on a rotating basis. Guest speakers share on a variety of topics that have a common theme of plunging deeper into our relationships.
In addition to monthly meetings, Mentor MOPS enjoys monthly play dates, hosted by a MOPS member or at a local play area, and multiple Mom's Nights Out.
At MOPS, we recognize that better moms make a better world!
At a MOPS meeting you will experience:
- authentic community
- mothering support
- personal growth
- and spiritual hope
All to help you be the best mom possible!
You were not intended to walk this journey alone.
All mothers need the love and support of friends.
Mentor MOPS meetings also include childcare with membership.
With fees at just $40/semester, and scholarships available for those who need it, Mentor MOPS makes membership easy.
New members are welcome any time; feel free to stop by a meeting and see for yourself!
