Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Lake County

Meteorologists predict between three and five inches of snow overnight

As if we needed an advisory to know it would eventually snow in Mentor?

Our relatively snow-free December will end today. The National Weather Service has predicted the area will receive between three and five inches of snow, beginning this afternoon and continuing overnight.

Meteorologists also predict there will be winds between 15 and 25 mph with occasional gusts up to 35 mph that will blow snow around.

The snow and wind could make roads slick so drivers are asked to take additional precautions and allow for greater distances between vehicles than usual.
