Winter Cold Settles In; More Snow Coming

The National Weather Service issues a wind chill advisory; snow warning continues

Extremely cold weather is settling into Northeast Ohio and staying for several days.

The National Weather Service on Tuesday night issued a Winter Weather Message warning of heavy snow, gusty winds and extremely cold temperatures.

Through Thursday morning, accumulations of four to eight inches are expected, with temperatures ranging from 2 degrees to 10 degrees above zero. Winds are from the west at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts of up to 25 mph. Wind chill is expected to drop to 15 below zero.

The National Weather Service warns that driving may be very slow, impossible or hazardous with highly variable road conditions, especially along the lakeshore. It may be clear skies in one place, with blowing snow and near-zero visibility a few miles away.

Temps are not expected to climb into the 30s until Monday.
