Lake Metroparks also recently launched its online fishing report

Lake Metroparks restocked the pond with 950 pounds of rainbow trout Thursday morning.

The fish averaged about two pounds each and appeared healthy.

The park systems' restocking program costs about $3,600 annually but they are able to offset that expense with donations from both the Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders and from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's Trout Club.

Additionally, Lake Metroparks recently started an online fishing report, in which anglers can see what people are catching and where in the county.

Veterans Park is open for fishing year round. However, people do need a fishing license from the state.
