Funeral arrangements are set for the woman who died in a Florida crash

The funeral for Brittney Gallagher will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Church.

Gallagher, 21, died Saturday in a car crash near Ebro, Fla. The 2009 graduate of Lake Catholic High School was the passenger of a 2000 Dodge that the driver, Courtney Miller, . Miller, 21, of Niles, also died in the crash.

McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes is handling the funeral services for Gallagher. Her family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home at 6330 Center Street.

 She was born June 10, 1991, in Euclid. Her smile would light up a room, her eyes sparkled with kindness, her voice was that of an angel, and her heart was full of love for everyone she knew. She loved her family and friends, and lived her life with complete joy. "We will miss our sweet Brittney every day." She was the loving daughter of Neil J. and Mariann (nee Blanchette) Gallagher; dear sister of Jacqueline M. Gallagher, Kelly F. Gallagher and Neil J. Gallagher Jr.; and cherished granddaughter of Lorraine (nee Rouskie) Blanchette. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Neil and Nancy (nee McGarry) Gallagher and Francis Blanchette.

The Gallagher family has created a scholarship fund in Brittney's name at All Saints School. In lieu of flowers, checks can be made payable to the All Saints Endowment Fund, c/o Brittney Gallagher Scholarship.
