1. Let's start with good news -- great news, actually.

, the lowest it's been since December 2008, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Lakeland Community College dedicated the Wednesday afternoon.

At the university center, Lakeland students can transition from community college to classes that will allow them to from nine different universities in Ohio.

3. Harry Fishleigh -- the man who until Thursday was the chairman of the Mentor Planning Commission and a trustee for Mentor Public Library -- on Sept. 27.
