Twin Calves Born At Lake Metroparks Farmpark

Visitors can meet the calves during the upcoming Fall Festival

Visitors to Lake Metroparks Farmpark now have two more -- make that three -- special attractions to see.

Twin calves were born last week at the park. This is a very rare occurrence -- in part because multiple births are so dangerous for cows.

Fortunately, both the mom and boys are doing fine.

The bull calves are a Holstein/Hereford mix and they will be at Farmpark through the Fall Harvest Festival Sept. 22 and 23.

While meeting the twins, visitors can also check out the Farmpark's annual 3-acre corn maze.

The maze opened this Friday and will stay open until Oct. 14, weather and field conditions permitting.

The corn maze is included with regular daytime Farmpark admission.

Tickets to Lake Metroparks Farmpark cost $6 for ages 12 to 59; $5 for seniors 60 and older; $4 for ages 2 to 11; children under 2 and Farmpark members are free.
