See The Monarch Butterflies At Lake Metroparks Before They Fly South

The butterflies have been raising their young and feeding in the gardens at Penitentiary Glen all summer long; now it's time for them to fly

All summer, the Monarch butterflies in the gardens at Penitentiary Glen have been growing and getting stronger.

And now is your best chance to see them before they fly south for the winter.

To commemorate the butterflies' incredible migration to Mexico, Lake Metroparks is hosting the Monarch Open House from noon to 1 p.m. this Sunday at Penitentiary Glen.
