The Mentor Restaurant Showcase returned Wednesday in a bigger and yummier fashion than last year's inaugural event.
Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kevin Malecek worked with the city to secure a bigger space, the Mentor Civic Ice Arena, because he anticipated more guests. That turned out to be a good plan, as he estimated that about 200 people showed up.
"It's going as well as we expected," he said during the event. "There's no excuse to leave here hungry."
