But an earthquake probably wouldn't deter the enthusiastic crowd that chauffered the torch through Mentor Tuesday morning.

The torch began its journey in Conneaut Monday and will pass through Cleveland on its way to Columbus Friday to celebrate the beginning of the Special Olympics.

The whole way, it will be escorted by police officers from all over Ohio, as well as Special Olympians.

At the end of their leg, Mentor officers brought the torch to the city's border where they passed it to Willoughby.
