Pets Can Get Their Photo Taken With 'Santa Paws' This Weekend

Donations for the photo opportunity go to Lake Humane Society

Animal lovers (and even animal likers) can get a photo of their pet with Santa Paws from noon to 4:30 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday at Lake Humane Society.

It costs $15 for one print or two for $20. The money all goes to take care of the homeless animals housed at the Lake Humane shelter.

The shelter will also offer special discounts in its Pet Shop, where
people can purchase toys, collars, leashes and more for their quadruped companions.

At the Santa Paws event, all animals must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times. Also, animals should be up-to-date on their vaccines and know how to play nice with others.

Furthermore, Lake Humane Society is kicking off its Home for the Holidays special on Dec. 1.

Through the month of December, people can adopt cats of any age for $20. (They are regularly $50 to $115.) Similarly, dogs can be adopted for just $50 (when they are usually $70 to $130.)
