Old Village Market Days To Return This Friday

For the next three Fridays, James A. Garfield National Historic Site will host market days with different performers each week

The city of Mentor will hold its annual Old Village Market Days from 4 to 8 p.m. for the next three Fridays at

The farmer’s market features locally grown produce, arts and crafts, food, and many other products for sale by dozens of vendors.

The Market Days are also a great time for families. Each week there will be live music, balloon artists Flower Clown and Pepper Jack, face painting with Janie Walland, storytelling, caricature artist Tim Hosler, a watermelon-eating contest, cookie decorating and ceramic painting.

This year, the market has different musicians performing each week:

August 3 – Those Guys

The Market Days are all free to attend. Visitors can check out the market and tour the park's grounds, including President James Garfield's home, for free.
