National Weather Services Warns About Possible Flash Floods
Meteorologists warn that flash floods because of heavy rainfall are possible today
For the , the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Lake County.
This time, meteorologists have called for a flash flood warning until 6 p.m. tonight. They say that slow-moving, heavy thunderstorms today, paired with Thursday's rain, could cause drainage ditches, creeks and poorly drained highways to flood.
The National Weather Service predicts another inch of rain today, adding onto the inch or two that most of the area received Thursday.

Battalion Chief Joe Busher of the Mentor Fire Department said no roads in Mentor had flooded as of 1:30 p.m.
As more rain falls, the ground becomes inundated and it is more difficult for it to absorb the water. Consequently, each subsequent rainstorm increases the likelihood of flooding.

The rain is far from finished as meteorologists say that thunderstorms are possible Saturday and Sunday. Moreover, there is a 40 percent chance of rainfall from Monday through Thursday next week, according to the National Weather Service.
