More Ice & Sleet Expected This Morning

The ice and sleet will turn into all rain by mid-Monday morning

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Lake County, saying that people should expect more ice and sleet Monday morning.

Meteorologists are predicting that the region will receive between one- and two-tenths of an inch of ice and sleet by 10 a.m. today.

At that point, the sleet is supposed to change into all rain as a warm front lifts across the area.

Ice is expected to accumulate on untreated roads, as well as trees and power lines.

The precipitation will be paired with winds between 10 and 15 mph with the occasional 20-mph gust.

Temperatures are expected to be in the high 20s and early 30s.

The winter weather advisory is set to expire at 10 a.m. Monday.
