In February, Mentor Police received a call for a crash on the eastbound lanes of Route 2 near Munson Road, which Hounshell is thought to have caused.

Hounshell continued to drive toward the Heisley Road exit after the collision but then stopped for no apparent reason, police said. This caused another car to crash into the back of his vehicle, according to police.

Fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt in either crash.
