Sroczynski pointed the laser scope of the gun at his rival's chest, Majernik said. Sroczynski later told police that he did it so the situation would not escalate.

The two drivers went their separate ways without violence and the other driver called the police about the incident. When contacted, Sroczynski turned himself in.

Sroczynski was allowed to have and carry a firearm at the time of the altercation because he had a carry concealed weapon license. However, Judge John Trebets decided that Sroczynski had to forfeit his license on Tuesday.

Trebets chose not to decide on Sroczynski's full punishment Tuesday. Instead, he asked that a presentence report be completed.

Sroczynski could face community control or anywhere up to six months in the local jail when Trebets sentences him.

Sroczynski's sentencing date has not been scheduled yet.
