Why Go: The Epilepsy Association is hosting the for children and families affected by seizure disorders.

This event is an indoor walk to raise funds and awareness about epilepsy in Northeast Ohio.

Walker check-in will begin at 8 a.m., the walk begins at 9 a.m. and the closing ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Register at www.epilepsyinfo.org.

5. CUB SCOUTS PINEWOOD DERBY

Where/When: Great Lakes Mall, 12:30 p.m., Sunday

Why Go: Cub Scout Pack 388 of Mentor, Ohio will host its annual Pinewood Derby on Sunday. The event will be held in the and is open for public viewing.

is a racing event for Cub Scouts. With the help of parents, Scouts build their own cars from a kit containing a block of wood made of pine with two notches for wheels, four plastic wheels and four nails.

The finished car must use all nine pieces and must not exceed 5 ounces in weight. Cub Scouts are able to carve and decorate their car as they choose. Cars typically vary from unfinished blocks to whimsical objects, to accurate replicas of actual cars.

Cub Scout Pack 388 is based out of Mentor. Cub Scouts serve boys in grades 1 - 5 and are a division of the Boy Scouts of America.
