Classic Cars Coming to Civic Center Park This Saturday

The city of Mentor's 11th annual Cruise In will attract hundreds, maybe even a thousand, classic cars

Thunderbirds, Mustangs, Corvettes and more will congregate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday at for the 11th annual .

Len Zito, the city's director of cultural activities, said the event has drawn as many as 1,000 cars in the past.

In addition to classic cars, the event also offers musical entertainment. DJ Jesse Webb will spin tunes by while sing classics from the '50s, '60s and '70s in the amphitheater.

The Cruise In is free for both cruisers and spectators, not counting the food at concessions, and does not require a RSVP.

Registered classic car owners (pre-1987 vehicles) will receive goodie bags and dash plaques, and one free ticket for great door prizes.

No pets, alcohol, rollerblades or bicycles are permitted at the event. No pre-registration; car owners may register after 9 a.m. on Saturday and no vehicles will be allowed on the premises until after 8 a.m.
