Babies Left in Cars & Books-A-Million Replacing Borders: Around the Patch

1. Well, at least one  will be replaced by another bookstore.

Alabama-based Books-A-Million will fill the shelves of the  on The Strip in Canton once it closes next month, 

Here's hoping for a similar happy ending .

2. The city of Kent gave the “Ride for 9-11” firefighting cyclists – including a native son – perhaps the biggest welcome offered by any town they’ve rolled through during the first couple thousand miles of their cross-country journey.

The group of 10 firefighters – give or take, depending on the day – is cycling from California to New York City to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on America.

3. A Strongsville woman told police she forgot her infant was in the car.

The car was parked in the Champ's parking lot while the woman visited the child's grandmother, 

Fortunately, the child was not seriously hurt.

4. After a brief presentation from  officials, Solon City Council voted Tuesday to certify the company's rezoning petition and 

That brings Nestle's plans to  off Cannon Road one step closer to appearing before Solon voters on Nov. 8. Voters will decide whether to rezone about 18 acres from residential to industrial use.

Nestle officials say the new research and development facility will house as many as 120 to 140 workers, which  in Solon. Nestle is already Solon's top employer.
