1. A reclusive mother-daughter pair were found dead by police in their Avon Lake home on July 26.

Police were forced to break in the house after efforts to try to reach Marcia Waugaman, 85, and her daughter Linda Waugaman, 58, failed.

Foul play is not suspected.

2. Gov. John Kasich signed Senate Bill 187 at a formal ceremony at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohio Statehouse.

The bill names part of U.S. Route 322 in Chesterland the "Chief Warrant Officer Christopher R. Thibodeau Memorial Highway."

Thibodeau died on May 26 while piloting an Apache helicopter on a combat mission in Afghanistan. He graduated from West Geauga High School and served with the 1st Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade.
