Around the Patch: Bank Robberies, Photography Shows & Graduation Kerfuffles

1. A father is upset that his daughter graduated without her American Indian birth feather.

Ken Jaworski addressed the  to express his discontent with the situation .

He alleges that a teacher, who is a senior adviser, took the American eagle feather off of Miracle's tassel, damaging the sacred feather.

"It's been in her possession her entire life ... it was given to her almost 18 years ago and cannot be replaced," said Jaworski. "It was a horrible day that will live in her memory for the rest of her life."

Superintendent Russ Jones said the teacher did not touch Miracle's feather, but gave her an option to take it off, not walk the stage or tuck it inside of the cap.

2. FBI and Beachwood Police are looking for the man who robbed the city's FirstMerit Bank.

You'll want to check out , if only because he wore a hat with a marijuana leaf on it during the robbery.

3. Music, photography and art aficionados should all check out the Waterloo Arts Fest June 25.

Cleveland Heights photographer Anastasia Pantsios will be displaying her photos of several music legends at the festival.

Pantsios' work has also been featured in the Rock Hall exhibit, Girls on Film: 40 Years of Women in Rock, as well as Rolling Stone, Village Voice and Esquire.
