A 5K For Father Kline & Memorial Day Parade: A Weekend Planner

Why Go: All Saints School of St. John Vianney is proud to announce the inaugural Fr. Kline 5K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run.

The Rev. Robert W. Kline, established All Saints School as the parish school for in 1977. He was very proud of the school and continued teaching at the school until a few months before his death in June 2011.

As the one-year annivery of Fr. Kline's death approaches, All Saints School is thrilled to honor Fr. Kline with this event. Proceeds from the Father Kline 5K and 1M Family Fun Run will benefit the school.

Those who have not registered yet can still do so th day of the event.

Pricing: $22 to run, $10 to walk (or $25 for a family to walk)

Where/When: The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday at and continues to will the ceremony starts at 10 a.m.

Why Go: This solemn annual event honors all those who have served in the United States' military.

The speaker this year will be , a World War II veteran who was injured twice and received a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts.

Why Go: This is the opening weekend for the museum. In addition, there will be village bicentennial programming throughout the three days.

Why Go: It is said that one in every twenty homes in America has a work of Thomas Kinkade hanging on its walls.

Sadly, Kinkade passed away earlier in April at the age of 54.

In addition to being a painter of light, he was also a frequent guest of Gallery One.

And, in celebration of his contributions to fine art, Gallery One has launched a special Thomas Kinkade tribute -- complete with art, memorabilia and films. The exhibition will continue through September 1.
