Snowy Softball Tournament to raise money for Honor Our Heroes Foundation

What better way to start the 2014 softball year than by playing in the snow?

The 3rd Annual SnowBall Softball Tournaments will be played at Mentor High School this coming January, presented by SPC Sports.

The first is for Mens teams and will be Saturday, January 11th. The second tournament is Coed and will be January 18th. Both are one day, double elimination, one-pitch adult softball tournaments.

Honor Our Heroes Foundation was created by Perry native and veteran Jake Walsh just a couple years ago to provide much needed support to returning veterans in the way mental wellness, small business grants to veteran owned businesses, and short term financial assistance for veterans in need.

Over 500 players, fans, and family came through the complex during last year's event and even more are expected this year.

There will also be volunteers from Lake Catholic High School to help, an official professional photographer, vendors, and StrEat Mobile, one of Cleveland's popular food trucks.

Teams who are interested in playing in either tournament can email David Godshall at sidewinding34@gmail.com.

Sponsors are welcome to help offset the cost of the tournaments and, in turn, benefit Honor Our Heroes Foundation.  Interested businesses are encouraged to contact David at sidewinding34@gmail.com
