Spirit Halloween Opens at Great Lakes Mall

Toy store will replace costume shop after Halloween ends

A Spirit Halloween store has opened in Great Lakes Mall in the  south concourse.

It carries Halloween costumes, decorations and accessories for both people and pets.

“We are excited to welcome Spirit Halloween to Great Lakes Mall for the Halloween season,” said Renee Lanzara, the mall's director of marketing.  “Fall is a busy time. Shoppers can be assured they will walk away from here happy and ready for a great Halloween.”

According to the National Retail Federation, the average person will spend $66 on Halloween. In particular, pet costumes are becoming more popular.

After Halloween, the costume shop will be replaced by a toy store just in time for Christmas, Lanzara said.

Spirit Halloween is not the only chain to join the mall this year.  opened this summer and  is expected to open in October.
