Not Everything Is Canceled Because of Snow Today

Indoor events at Great Lakes Mall and Wildwood Cultural Center will go on as scheduled

The snow, wind and general winter yuckiness has not canceled everything today.

If you have the day off from work or school and are looking for something to do today, you still have at least two options in the city of Mentor.

The Great Lakes Mall and Lake County Chambers of Commerce are hosting today and Saturday at the Mentor mall.

Local businesses will have a chance to showcase their wares and services in Lake County's biggest retail site. These companies range from small family operations to some of the biggest employers in the area.

Shoppers can check out local merchants during the mall's regular hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Many businesses will offer giveaways and special deals.

Meanwhile, the 23rd annual Winter Weave is scheduled for this weekend.

Professional and amateur weavers from as far away as California and Alaska have gathered at to show off their craft and learn new techniques.

The event is organized by the Wildwood Basketry Guild.
