Mentor Teacher & Coach to Open CrossFit Location on Tyler

The CrossFit facility will have three certified instructors.

A CrossFit gym operated by a Mentor teacher and football coach is coming to Tyler Boulevard.

The city's planning commission granted Scott Panchik a conditional use permit to open CrossFit, a training facility that will offer classes on the popular strength and conditioning program.

Panchik did not state an exact opening date, but planning administrator Ric Spence said, "it looks like they're ready to go."

Panchik will run the facility with his father. It will be located at 7620 Tyler Boulevard, Unit 6, a 5,000 square-foot space within a 56,050 square-foot building.

The building was last occupied by The Plain Dealer.

The facility will be outfitted with weights, barbells, kettle bells, medicine balls, pull-up bars, rowing machines, stationary bikes and other training equipment.
Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Three certified trainers will provide service to roughly 50 clients.
