The Mentor Planning Commission is scheduled to discuss part of 7 p.m. today at its meeting.

Specifically, the commission will review plans for the Mentor mall's redesigned entryways.

The mall plans to have a redesigned, two-story glass entranceway into the food court with an extended paved walkway. It also intends to add an entrance on the mall's west side and redesign the mall's three existing entrances with new lighting and landscape features.

The mall also plans to renovate its food court, switch its color scheme and change its flooring. However, internal changes do not require city approval.

Simon Property Group, the mall's owner and operator, is funding the multimillion-dollar renovation. Law/Kingdon Architecture did the design work and Law Company Inc. will oversee construction.
