Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce Names Citizen and Business of the Year
Chamber recognizes John Krueger for his life of civil service; award continues good year for U.S. Endoscopy
Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce recognized John Krueger and U.S. Endoscopy as its citizen and business of the year, respectively.
Krueger has dedicated much of his life to civil service since he graduated in 1965 from .
He served as vice chairman on the city's port authority and secretary on its planning commission. He also was the director of the Lake County Board of Elections for nine years and the chairman of the county's March of Dimes chapter.

He is still a member of the Mentor Rotary, the Mentor Economic Assistance Corporation and the chamber of commerce. Additionally, he's been the master of ceremonies at the It's Better in Mentor parade for the last 25 years.
Krueger is the third member of his family the chamber has recognized as citizen of the year. His father, Donald Krueger, was one of the earliest winners in 1974 and his mother, Marguerite Krueger-Brunner, won in 1991.

The chamber's award continues a good year for U.S. Endoscopy. The medical products company already received a prestigious earlier this month.
The medical award recognizes the company's Talon grasping device, which is used by physicians to retrieve impacted food or other substances from the esophagus or stomach.
Furthermore, U.S. Endoscopy continues its that is expected to create 150 new jobs.
