Melt Bar & Grilled Announces Mentor Location

Melt is looking to open this October in Mentor's Points East shopping plaza at the corner of Route 306 and Mentor Avenue

Lovers of gourmet grilled cheese to hear where in Mentor owner Matt Fish will open his newest Melt Bar & Grilled Location.

Well, the wait is over.

Fish announced in his restaurant's e-newsletter that Melt will be opening in the Points East Plaza at the corner of Route 306 and Mentor Avenue. Its official address will be 7289 Mentor Avenue.

Melt will fill the former home of . Meanwhile, Jalapeño Loco will move down the street to 7501 Mentor Ave -- the former home of .

that he would be opening Melt's fourth location in the city of Mentor.

"I know there are people from Mentor who already come to Melt," he said in May. "But there are also people who prefer to stay in the area. So this is going to open a whole new market for us."

Fish previously said that he expected construction to begin at the Mentor location in July and that he hopes to open it by October.

Melt, in addition to adding a destination restaurant to the city, will also create about 50 jobs in Mentor.

Melt has received national attention for its creative sandwiches and was featured on The Travel Channel's Man V. Food when its host, Adam Richman, devoured the 5-pound-plus Melt Challenge that combines 13 different cheeses on a single sandwich.
