Local Deals In And Around Mentor This Black Friday

Here's a list of some of the specials that local businesses are offering this Friday

It's not just big box stores offering deals on this most hallowed of commerce-related holidays.

A lot of local businesses are offering specials. (And, yes, I realize I'm probably missing some, as well. Feel free to add your businesses' Black Friday deals in the comments section.)

Without further ado, here are the local Black Friday specials:

  • Second Sole in Mentor will be offering 50 percent off on many of the items in their store.
  • Tryst Salon and Spa will be offering 15 percent off all retail and will be having a gift card promotion on Saturday.
  • Ikidz Rooms will celebrate its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Friday with food, beverages and a furniture sale.
  • Jenniffer & Co is running Black Friday specials with 50 percent off of retail and anyone who buys $100 worth of product gets a $20 gift card.
  • Dear Decor will have 15 percent off everything in the store on Black Friday.
  • Awaken Yoga will be offering a free class at 8:15 a.m. and again at 10 a.m., as well as deals on gift certificates, classes and jewelry.
  • Erie Optical is offering bonus money when people buy gift certificates. Get an extra $25 when you buy a $100 gift certificate; $15 when you buy $75 and $10 when you buy $50.
  • If you work up an appetite while shopping, Red Lobster is making all the items on its "Maine Stays" menu buy one get one free. Readers can retrieve the offer on Facebook (here) or by checking in on Foursquare at the restaurant.
  • Mike's Kitchen in Mentor will be offering one-time only carry-out deals on Small Business Saturday.

Also, remember the Great Lakes Mall is opening at midnight this Friday and they will have giveaways, music and deals, as well.

Finally, there will be some opportunities for philanthropy this Friday, as well.

Volunteers from A Prom To Remember will be wrapping gifts outside of Harley Davidson Friday. Any tips received will benefit A Prom To Remember, a special dance for children affected by cancer.

Also, Howard Hanna will be hosting a fundraiser this Wednesday at Pine Ridge Country Club in Willoughby with the proceeds going to help local children receive health care they could not otherwise afford.

One more time, don't be afraid to add your own deals in the comments section. It's not spam. I want as many people to know about the local deals available to them as possible.
