Inspection Reports: Which Food Providers Had Fewest Violations in March
Here are some of the Mentor restaurants and food service providers where state inspectors found few or no violations
With so many Mentor restaurants receiving inspections in January and February, — the end of the licensing year — the Lake County General Health District will largely focus its attention elsewhere in the coming months.
"We'll be there at the Mentor Chamber (Restaurant Showcase on Wednesday) because have to go out and look at all those participating places," Director of Environmental Health Nancy Niehus said.
"In the summer, we're at fares and festivals under a canopy, carnival trailers ... we have more than 100 temporary events we inspect because there could be one to 60 (food service providers) at every event to inspect."

Fewer restaurants to inspect in March also gave way to inspecting grocers, drug stores and other locations that deal with food and must adhere to the Ohio Revised Code.

Most restaurants receive the highest risk rankings — CS3 or CS4 — while places like Convenient Food Mart and Tommy's are smaller in size. The "s" stands for small, which is how the state describes most restaurants in the city.
