H & M, Teavana & Chop It Salad Co. Coming To Great Lakes Mall

Great Lakes Mall may have completed its , but that doesn't mean the changes are finished.

Three new businesses are coming to the mall this year -- locally owned restaurant Chop It Salad Co., Swedish clothing store H & M, and specialty retailer Teavana.

H & M will open a 17,000-sq.-ft. store in the fall. The store offers clothing based on the most recent fashion trends for men, women and children.

Meanwhile, Teavana will open in May. lets connoisseurs browse through more than 100 varieties of loosel-leaf teas, as well as artisanal teawares and other tea-related merchandise.

Chop It Salad lets patrons pick from more than 50 options to create the salad of their choice.

"Since our renovation, we continue to see new retailers wanting to be a part of the special shopping experience we offer here," said Renee Lanzara, the director of marketing at the mall. "We look forward to announcing more new additions in the near future."

Unfortunately, the mall will also be saying goodbye to one of its tenants. The intends to close its doors by January 24.

The closure has nothing to do with the mall's renovation or its new tenants, Lanzara explained. Instead, Disney intends to focus on mega stores in major cities, as opposed to smaller mall-based retailers.

However, Disney's space will not remain vacant.

Instead, will be relocating into the renovated space in the next year. Similarly, and will be moving into new, renovated locations in the mall in the next 12 to 18 months.

Finally, two more retailers— and Sarku Japan—will renovate their current locations in the mall.

"We’re pleased to welcome these new additions and to see updates to several of our long-time retailers," Lanzara said in a statement. "We know these changes are a direct result of the major renovation we completed last year. This is only the beginning of phase two of the project, which includes making room for more new tenants."
