Chop It Salad Opens Mall Location on Friday

The company will donate 100 percent of opening-day revenue to the United Way of Lake County

Beginning Friday, Great Lakes Mall visitors will find out just how many ways one can dress a salad.

Chop It Salad Co. will open in the food court at 10 a.m. Friday morning with a grand opening celebration. This location is the restaurant's sixth in Greater Cleveland and first in Lake County.

"The addition of Chop It to our food court will provide another healthy and quality dining choice for our guests,” mall director of marketing and business development Great Lakes Mall Renee Lanzara said. "We’re excited to add another new option to our already diverse mix of retail, restaurant and entertainment opportunities."

Though Chop It has a menu of signature salads and wraps, a large part of its draw is the create-your-own-salad option. The company offers more than 30 dressings and more than 50 toppings that range from Cajun chicken to tofu.

As part of the celebration, the company has pledged to offer all of its revenues to the United Way of Lake County. United Way staff members will collect donations near the restaurant, while others will be near Dillard's to kick off the organization's food collection drive with a "can-struction" building project.
