Chipotle to Donate Half of Tuesday's Proceeds to Mentor Farmer's Market

The restaurant will support the market by up to $5,000

A Chipotle purchase on Tuesday May 21 will mean more than boosting the profile of one of the nation's most recognized chains.

Customers who buy food from Chipotle in Mentor will also be donating to the upcoming Mentor Farmer's Market, which opens on May 31. According to Chipotle, the restaurant will donate 50 percent of its Mentor proceeds to the farmer's market, up to $5,000.

People can take advantage of the deal at both the Reynolds Road and Mentor Avenue locations.

"Last year, I heard that Chipotle could sometimes be found at local markets because they pride themselves on buying local," Kathie Pohl, Mentor's director of community relations and marketing, said. "I reached out to them and was put in touch with their marketing outreach person.

"We've been working on this for months and are so appreciative of their support."
