Mentor officials will help welcome a new business to town later this week.
Ashley Furniture HomeStore will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration Friday morning to mark the company's second store in the Greater Cleveland market.
The retailer will open for its first day of business following a 9:45 a.m. ribbon cutting. The store will carry an assortment of couches, beds, entertainment centers, recliners, beds and tables.

"We are excited to add Mentor to our family of HomeStores, and anticipate bringing three more HomeStores into the Greater Cleveland market over the next couple years,” Tom Kane, a managing partner of parent company Wellsville Carpet Town Inc., said in a news release.
"Besides being a nice geographic fit for the continued expansion of our company, it’s a genuinely friendly region to do business in."

The business will operate at 7480 Plaza Blvd., formerly home to Linens 'N Things.
