Nonprofits Can Raise Funds, Awareness During Hearts & Hands Day At Great Lakes Mall

Organizations must sign up soon because this Friday is the mall's deadline

Nonprofit organizations still have time -- but not much -- to sign up for the annual Hearts and Hands Day at Great Lakes Mall.

The event, which highlights all of the great nonprofits in the area, will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 6.

However, the deadline to register is this Friday.

Nonprofits can use the event to raise awareness for their causes, meet potential volunteers and raise funds by selling items such as raffle tickets, baked goods and handcrafted items.

"Hearts & Hands Community Day is an opportunity for shoppers to learn more about the organizations that support residents in Mentor and beyond," said Renee Lanzara, Great Lakes Mall's director of marketing and business development.

"Each year, we host this event to help as part of our ongoing commitment to bring the community together."

Nonprofit organizations interested in participating in this year’s event can contact Diana Lewis, marketing assistant, at dlewis@simon.com.
