Ridge Students Excited to Begin School Year

Students cheered for teachers and a new year of learning at kickoff assembly.

The days when kids dreaded going back to school appear to gone.

Long gone.

At Ridge Middle School, the students may have partied more on the first day than they did all summer. Screams of "Ridge Pride" were loud and proud during the kickoff celebration.

Next, the lights went out and staff members were introduced as if they were the Cleveland Cavaliers. Principal Megan Kinsey and school teachers ran out from a curtain, one-by-one, high-giving students and receiving deafening applause.

Check out the quick video to get a small taste of how enthused students are to learn in the 2013-2014 school year.
