Mentor Senior Earns Perfect ACT Test Score

Less than one-tenth of 1 percent of students who take the test earn perfect scores, according to the organization.

Just a week after being named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist, a Mentor senior achieved another rare feat.

Dylan Linville has earned a perfect score on the ACT test. Iowa City-based ACT told Dylan's family, who then passed the news on to the Mentor school district this week.

Dylan's 36 score is an accomplishment that less than one-tenth of 1 percent of students who take the test reach, according to the organization.

Just 1,162 of more than 1.8 million students of the class of 2013 earned a 36 on the test.

Dylan is also a member of the National Honor Society. He has been on the Science Olympiad team since 7th grade and is now a co-captain.
