Gabriella Drago Named MHS 2013 Homecoming Queen

Gabriella plans on attending Baldwin-Wallace and majoring in Music Therapy.

Just before the kickoff of Mentor's 56-14 victory over Shaker Heights, the young women of the 2013 Mentor High School Homecoming Court walked across the field with their escorts.

In the end, Gabriella Drago was announced Homecoming Queen. The other nine girls immediately rushed over to hug and congratulate her.

Here's a little bit about Gabriella, as provided by the school:

"Gabriella has participated in numerous choirs, including both local and State. She has been in Theatre for the past two years and is also a member of NHS and a PSEO student. Gabriella's hobbies include singing, writing music and playing the guitar and piano. Gabriella plans to attend Baldwin-Wallace and major in Music Therapy. This will allow her to help others who have disabilities and challenges like her. Gabriella's most memorable experience is hard for her to pick. Because of her disability, she considers all the opportunities she has encountered with making her the person she is today."

Here are the other members of the Homecoming Court:

  • Rachel Bann
