Summer Concert Series Ends With Performance From Shockwave

People can see the free concert 7 p.m. today at Civic Center Park amphitheater

City of Mentor's will end this evening with a performance from Shockwave.

The six-piece funk/soul band will take the stage 7 p.m. at the  amphitheater.

Shockwave's repertoire includes tunes from Motown mainstays like Stevie Wonder and The Temptations, funk grandmasters Rick James and Wilson Picket, and even Joe Cocker and Jimmy Buffett for those who need to hear You Can Leave Your Hat On and Margaritaville.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to the performances. They can also bring a picnic dinner or buy concessions from the city's Beautification Committee.

The performances will be moved indoors to the  if it’s raining.

This is the final free concert at Civic Center Park this summer. The shows were all sponsored by local businesses.
