Participants will be able to examine pieces of armor and a crossbow bolt from the Middle Ages and the 16th century.

"The presentation will also address some of the misconceptions of armor, for example, that a suit of armor was heavy or difficult to wear," said MPL Collection Manager Barb Hauer.

"Patrons will be able to actually try on an armored gauntlet for first-hand experience of wearing armor. We are able to reach back through the years, across oceans, and almost touch the kings and princes who wore these suits of armor."

The event, like all library programs, is free. However, people are asked to register. They can do so online or by calling 440-255-8811, ext. 215.
