High School Bands Will Rock Out at Mallapalooza Today

Five bands, including Raygus from Mentor, will compete to be the first-ever Mallapalooza champion

Great Lakes Mall and Belmez Entertainment will host the first-ever this Saturday at the Mentor mall.

Five high-school bands from around the area were . Now, they will face off from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Each will play a half-hour set and the competition will be judged by the audience.

Afterward, See You Sunday and Maddie Finn – the winners of the 2010 Tri-C Rock Off – will perform for the crowd.

The schedule for the performances are:

Stage Time Band 12:45pm-1:15pm The Natives 1:30pm-2:00pm Raygus 2:15pm-2:45pm Conceded 3:00pm-3:30pm And Then The Stars Fell 3:45pm-4:15pm Abby Sky 4:30pm-5:00pm Voting 5:15pm-5:45pm See You Sunday 6:00pm-6:45pm Maddie Finn

In addition to great music, people will also be able to eat some good food at Mallapalooza because of the gourmet food trucks of C Town Chow Down will be there, including Farenheit, JiBARO, StrEat Bistro, Zydeco, Jj Hot Dogs, Nosh Box, Cakes Plus, Street Sensations, East Coast Custard and Pig Lickin BBQ.

Admission to Mallapalooza is $5. For those 8 and younger, it's free. Parking is also free.
