The sadists behind Forsaken needed more than 7,000 man hours to create the scare and thrills inside their zombie-infested haunt.

Forsaken is actually three haunted attractions in one. Visitors begin in Wheaton Manor where Donald Wheaton, the mayor of Quiet Springs, OH, created a pesticide to save the town's corn crop.

Unfortunately, the pesticide had an unexpected side effect. It turned the townsfolk into zombies.

Guests will wander the laboratories where the mayor performed his experiments. And maybe he's still lurking around.

Then, people will visit the camp of the scientific team that's trying to contain the infection.

Finally, visitors will walk the streets of Quiet Springs and see the havoc and horror wreaked by the epidemic.

Because of the scares inside, Forsaken is not recommended for anyone younger than 13.

This is Forsaken's first year in Mentor, but it is the brainchild of two established scare factories: The Factory of Terror and Evilusions.

Forsaken is open every Friday through Sunday from now until Halloween.

General admission tickets for Forsaken cost $20. VIP tickets, $30. However, students can save $2 if they bring their student ID or wear their Cardinal gear this weekend.

Additionally, all the proceeds from the concessions stand on Friday and Sunday will go to Mentor High's varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders, who will man the booth.
