What is your least favorite part of the Holiday Season?

Each week the Mentor Patch Moms Council answers a question posed to them by readers or another member of the council.

While we all love many things about the Holiday Season, there may be a few parts of it that we don't care for as much. Our moms share their least favorite things about the Holidays and how they deal with them.

I have two least favorite parts. I really dislike dealing with the lights on the tree. No matter how well they are put away, they are always tangled and a pain to deal with. My wonderful husband solved this problem for me by taking on the task himself. I don't even need to be in the room to see the process. The other thing I don't like is everybody stressing over how many things need to be done. I'm guilty of it myself sometimes. But, this ruins the holidays for everyone around us. I'm trying to remember what's important to teach my kids this time of year and that isn't crabbiness.

I guess my least favorite part is taking down the decorations and putting them away. Although after the cleanup, the house looks so clean! The doldrums of winter then set in. And it seems the only thing to look forward to is Spring.

I love everything about the holidays EXCEPT buying gifts.  I am not a shopper, I do not enjoy it at all, and I find it very stressful.  Being able to shop online has helped quite a bit, but it is still the least enjoyable of all the holiday traditions to me.

My least favorite part of Christmas is when it’s over. It always goes by much too quickly. I also dislike the clean up and putting away all the holiday decorations. Putting up the decorations is one of my favorite parts, but taking them down is a reminder that the holiday is over and, once again, it went by much too quickly.
