Why Go: It's a free President's Day event at the home of President James Garfield. Play the presidential trivia game, learn about Garfield’s participation in the Civil War and his presidency, find out which other presidents served the Union during the Civil War, tour the Garfield home, and enjoy many more activities for kids and adults in honor of President’s Day. Games and prizes are available for children.

Why Go: Come celebrate Presidents' Day in a most entertaining and thought-provoking manner.

Presidents Abraham Lincoln, U.S. Grant, James A. Garfield, Theodore Roosevelt, & William H. Taft, along with First Ladies Mary Todd Lincoln, Lucretia Garfield, & Eleanor Roosevelt, will be visiting and chatting with diners. 

Mentor Public Library will provide presidential books & activities.

Pricing: Free to attend but you'll presumably want dinner while you are there.

3. DRUG FREE 24/7 YOUTH FAIR

Where/When: , Saturday afternoon

Why Go: Celebrate staying drug free with this fair, which is cosponsored by Lake County Narcotics PLUS Program, the Lake County Building Our Assets Together Community Coalition and Crossroads.

There will be face painting, hands-on activities for families and children and some youth entertainment from singers, baton twirlers and local martial artists

Where/When: 32200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills (Lavera Party Center,) 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: The Lake County Historical Society will host this event, which includes dinner, open bar, monte carlo, games, dancing and raffles, to benefit operations and education. 1940s attire is encourage but not required.

Doors open at 6 p.m., the buffet will be served from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the nightclub and Mounds Club Casino are open with action, music and entertainment until 11 p.m.

Where/When: Lakeland Community College, Fridays through Sundays

Why Go: Anyone Can Whistle is a musical that claims a very fine distinction between sanity and conformity. Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Arthur Laurents. This is the first professional production of Anyone Can Whistle since it was done in the early seventies at Cain Park.
