One Word to Describe Your Father?

With Father's Day coming up, we asked Mentor residents, business owners and students how they would describe Dad.

What's the first word that comes to mind when you think of your father?

That's the question Mentor Patch posed to Mentor residents, business owners, students and library patrons this week in honor of Father's Day. Responses varied, but it's clear that Dads have a lasting impact on people of all ages.

For most, one word just wasn't enough to express how a father can make one a better person.

Here are the people who shed some light on what Dad means to them:

  • Randy Carver, owner of Randy Carver Financial Services
  • Mark Wainwright, membership development manager of Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Chelsey Seelinger, intern for Mentor Parks and Recreation
  • Noah, 10-year-old Mentor Library visitor
  • Mentor resident Ellie
  • Adam Delamotte, intern for Mentor Parks and Recreation
  • Ashley Zupancic, 2012 Lake Catholic graduate
  • Jonathan Kelley, owner of J's Pizza Market
  • Bob Taylor, Mentor Recreation specialist
  • Mentor resident Chris
  • Summer, 5-year-old Mentor Library visitor
