Meteorologists Predict First Major Lake Effect Snow Of Winter

The National Weather Service says to expect two to five inches of snow tonight

The National Weather Service is warning people to expect the first major lake effect snow of the season Sunday night.

Meteorologists predict that the area will receive from two to five inches between Sunday night and Monday morning.

The snow is supposed to get worse through Monday and then taper Tuesday. By Tuesday afternoon, some places will get more than a foot of snow.

Unfortunately, this snow will be paired with 35 mph winds and the occasional gust that reaches 45 mph.

Visibility will be especially bad Monday night when visibility will almost be zero, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will also drop into the low teens Monday with wind chill making it feel like it is almost zero.

The snow and wind will make for hazardous driving; so, if you intend to be on teh road Sunday night or Monday, be careful.
