Mentor Public Library Premiering Playaway Views

The library's main branch will soon have 25 portable video players filled with educational and entertaining content for children

Kids will be able to check out Playaway Views soon from .

Views are video players that don't require DVDs, downloads or even headphones. They can be operated with the press of a button, librarian Barbara Hauer said.

Moreover, the 25 Views at the library will be filled with educational and entertaining videos from Sesame Street, Arthur, National Geographic and more.

The Views are just the library's latest foray into technology. The main branch has iPads available for use, Nook e-readers available for borrowing,  that patrons can download and classes 

The Views can be borrowed for two weeks at a time with a Mentor Library card.

Hauer said that Mentor will be the first library in Lake County to have Playaway Views. 

"It's a simple way for children to watch education and entertaining videos on the go," she said.
