Leadership Lake County Collects $4,000 in Goods for Families in Need

The junior class packaged goods for charities and drives in Mentor and other Lake County locations

Leadership Lake County's Growing Awareness of Poverty (G.A.P.) collected $4,000 of taxable goods for families in need.

The junior class of 2013, comprised of 33 high school juniors from around the region, gathered April 27 to collect paper towels, toilet paper and other hygiene products (taxable goods) that cannot be purchased with food stamps but are essential to daily living.

At the end of the event, donations were packaged and donated across Lake County to Price of Peace in Mentor, Project Hope in Painesville and Body of Christ Community Church in Willoughby.
