Kids Learn About Health at Carnival

Children played in an inflatable obstacle course and learned about health at 2ba Healthy Kid Carnival

Hundreds of kids – with parents and grandparents in hand – bounced, tumbled and learned a bit about good eating habits at the .

The free event, held Saturday at the , was sponsored by Mentor's Parks & Recreation Department.

It featured colorful displays to catch the children's attention, and kid-friendly information about home fire safety, good hand-washing techniques, healthy eating and more. For the older crowd, information about poison prevention, seat belt and car seat safety, vaccination recommendations, nutrition, sunscreen and skin cancer prevention was available.

A DJ spinning tunes added to the carnival-like atmosphere.
